Death Acceptance and Positivity – The main hub of the Death Café Movement, find your nearest death café meeting, and learn more about what they’re all about – An LA based group of death acceptance intellectuals who hold events, discussions and seminars. Based in the tradition of the 18th Century Death Salon, topics cover all aspects of death culture from art and history to science and technology. – Also LA based, a collective of funeral professionals also promoting death acceptance and positivity, features some great articles and you must check out Caitlin’s Ask a Mortician series in the video section. – Scottish website dedicated to promoting openness around the subject of death – UK site and coalition set up by the National Council for Palliative care to promote public awareness around issues of death dying and bereavement. – A fantastic site that allows you to record your final wishes, your life story and even your bucket list. – Bristol based interactive art project, hosted by Philippa Bayley and Not Being Morbid.


Practical help for end-of-life care, death and funeral arrangement – Independent funeral advice and helpline, an essential port of call if arranging a funeral, especially if not using a traditional funeral directors. – Compassion in Dying is a national charity providing information and support around the rights and choices of people facing end of life decisions. They are also the leading provider of free Advance Decisions in the UK. – Nixie James-Scott – West Country based Interfaith minister and celebrant, conducting funerals and memorial ceremonies with a personal touch. – An invaluable resource for information about funeral directors, monumental masons, woodland burial sites, florists, will writers, caterers, reception venues and associated services in the UK – Bristol-based bespoke funeral directors – Small bespoke funeral directors based in the South West, taking a green and sustainable approach
